Be a Student…and a Teacher, by Wolf Martinez

One cannot effectively hold space, help, heal, or guide others till one has figured out how to do that effectively for them Self. Like leading someone on a path up the mountain, one must become very familiar with that path before attempting to take others without risk. That's just the way of things.

The funny thing is, once one has figured out the path up the mountain and knows it like the back of their hand, the path changes. A great rain, snow or fire comes and washes it away, and now a new path has to be created.

It is a constant learning and commitment to being so very open and never rigid... always flexible. The teacher must always remain the student. We All must always remain open to being the student. It's more fun that way too!

The best teachers and guides just hold the mirror for us to find our own way. The best teachers and guides just become the example. But they too make mistakes because we are all human and the best ones learn from those mistakes because they are so open they can see the reflection in the Universe. This is a practice also.

These teachings inspire me and have for so many years. Maybe you too see something here that inspires you also. Let's all just be the best Humans we can be. I don't even like labels like teacher, student, guide and so on….Healer, Medicine Person... we are just people, we all have medicine, gifts and hearts to share. That’s what it means to be Human.
